HENSOMASTIK® 5 KS viskos is a water-based, ablative, fire-protection coating for making joint seals up to EI 240 in floors with a joint width from 12 mm up to max. 100 mm. Also be used for making membranes (expansion joints) up to EI 240 in floors with a joint width from 12 mm up to max. 75 mm. For indoor and outdoor applications between concrete, reinforced concrete, cellular concrete, lime sandstone and brickwork.
Joints: Floor thickness > 200 mm, expansion < 7,5 %
Membranes (expansion joints): Floor thickness > 125 mm, expansion < 25 %
Product characteristics
- Contains no solvents, APEO, halogens, borates or plasticisers
- Water-impermeable in accordance with DIN 1048
- Oil and petrol resistant
- Weatherproof / UV resistant in accordance with DIN 53 384
- Ageing resistant, mechanically stable
- Flexible when dry even when thick layers have been applied
- If completely dry temperature resistant up to -40 °C
