HENSOTHERM® 7 KS is an intumescent fire-protection coating for use on both metal and plastic surfaces.

The coating contains no halogens, APEO, borates, fibres or plasticisers. The coating is non-VOC and thus fulfils the criteria of the LEED credit EQ c4.2. Under the French system of emission certificates according to DEVL1101903D and DEVL1104875A, it is classified as emission class A+ (very low emissions).

Applications
HENSOTHERM® 7 KS is used as a sound-absorbing coating with a loss factor d of 0.02 to 0.31, in accordance with DIN 53440/DIN EN ISO 6721-3 it has a sound-absorbing effect, for thin-walled sheet metal structures and as a fire-protection coating for aluminium and sheet metal structures, plastics and insulating materials. HENSOTHERM® 7 KS is weather resistant and can thus be used in interior as well as exterior spaces in a temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C. HENSOTHERM® 7 KS contains no solvents, halogens or asbestos.
